Foreign doctors
According to the College of Practitioners 34 percent of New Zealand GPs are trained overseas and the rural sector would collapse without them. Let's hear it for foreign doctors.

Beggers can't be choosers, but when choice is available I generally omit people who got their medical degree in countries of which I do not know or trust the educational and/or professional standards. Having said that, I have found South Afrikan doctors very good - as they cater for my "the straight truth please" needs :)

Lindsay Mitchell has been researching and commenting on welfare since 2001. Many of her articles have been published in mainstream media and she has appeared on radio,tv and before select committees discussing issues relating to welfare.
