The deadbeat fathers are the ones that just walk away. Or promise the earth and don't turn up or pay.
For a family court judge to make a public statement on a current issue is highly inappropriate. Even if most knew there wasn't a fair hearing to be had in front of that woman, she's removed all doubt now. If the court system itself isn't the cradle that produced this judge, it would be well served to deal with her to the fullest extent internal disciplinary procedures allow.
And sure, kids need quality time with their parents. But to think a Sunday morning fixes a week, or longer, of absence is naive.
Belinda tries the line that angry fathers outside court translate to angry fathers in the home, and thus they are their own problem.
I'm prepared to entertain the notion that being withheld access to your own children might lead a father to anger, even if they were the most level headed person around.
It would never occur to this stupid woman family court lawyer that the family court and the lawyers of her ilk actually make it harder to establish 'civil relations' with ex partners.
This cows livlihood depends on conflicts between spouses and it is in her financial interst to escalate them.
Which is exactly what Family court lawyers tend to do.
