...had two little toys.
Sorry. There is no relevance to the poignant song Rolf Harris used to sing. Regardless, the lyric and melody entered my head as I read about two little boys. Now dead. The first a one year-old and the second aged two. One from Otahuhu and the other from Orakei. Both families known to Child Youth and Family Services.
When a child is born

Oh fie Lindsay what is a dead Polynesian baby or two to the chattering class?
There are far more important things to worry over - like what John Key said to John Banks over a cup of tea
Andrei; I believe at the tea potty party John Key told John Banks that he was going to shut down CYFS after the election. Silly Mr Key; he'd have an even bigger majority if he announced that now!
Well I think that for many, children really are "cannon fodder".
These 2 boys were probably fortunate to have lost their lives that day....about another 30 would have been abused, neglected & maltreated.
30 children who no doubt live in lower income areas with sperm/egg donors on a benefit, who choose the luxuries of life (sky, cigarettes, alcohol or other drugs) over feeding & clothing them.
Children who will one day be teenagers then adults....who will no doubt one day either wind up with an abusive spouse or abuse their own children.
Definitely not God's own.
