Debate at The Standard
I wandered into a debate about falling DPB numbers over at the Labour blog - The Standard. Gee. They are very excitable. I shouldn't do this because it takes so much time to make all the necessary responses. Still, it's a pissing-down awful day, not enough light to paint and it is fascinating to see how people interpret statistics to fit their assumptions.

You did very well over there Lindz, as usual - just presenting the facts as always.
I believe in the welfare system but when some people can't believe that it can become an incentive (for some)I feel societies resources are being squandered. I also feel that we would be better off if some types didn't breed.
I heard men at the RSA interviewed about Gold Card (going on at Winston Peters). Why can't they help us with this and that (including passports). I thought their attitude was disgusting and it makes you think about the sense of entitlement people develop under our system. Welfare? Yes but to the right people.
