This is actually very thought provoking. And I support people making their own informed choices. However, I just can’t stand the smell of smoke from any kind of tobacco, and I can really enjoy a trip to the pub now.
When I first started work, some of my work mates used to smoke at their desk, and I would go home stinking of their smoke. Really not pleasant.
Pregnant women who smoke have smaller babies, are more likely to miscarry or have stillbirths and their babies are more likely to die from SIDS. And there is no doubt that parent’s secondhand smoke causes illness in babies and small children.
So fine, go smoke yourself to death if you want to. (Not that death from emphysema would be very nice.) But do it without hurting other people, particularly those you love.
