Surprise surprise, that's what happens when you change the rules around staying in a state house for life, make life harder for landlords which has reduced the number of private rentals, these people are not stupid.

Which people "are not stupid"? The landlords, the tenants or the politicians who made recent law changes? I don't think it's either of the first two groups.
