Here is an interesting coincidence I just came across.
Two numbers from the last Census
251,688
251,130
They represent two distinct groups of New Zealand residents by birthplace.
Any ideas?

Asians vs. natives, the bigger being imports.
Asians and Pacific Islanders?
The first number is those born in the UK or Ireland.
The second is those born in Asia.
How many Australians?
I'm one, but I don't run into that many that have moved here permanently.
Far fewer
62,742
The figures come from Satistics New Zealand table builder.
