Budget 2007 - Welfare spending

Social Security and welfare spending is projected to increase by 25% by 2011.

This is the biggest increase across the various spending areas. Closest is Health at 22%.

Super makes up 54 percent of the increase.



The people may be sick and ailing but the welfare state is alive and kicking.
