Labour's policy was to drive down the prison population. And they have.
But since March 2022 the population has levelled off. 2022 looks different to 2020 and 2021.

Its getting close to election year.... So wind back the policy to present a we listened position..... Its a political move and the trend will go back to a falling population if Labour get back in....
A possibility is that Police have re-commenced attending burglaries thefts and other like offences... Although on reflection, that does seem a bit implausible under the current administration.
