Willie Jackson applies to open charter school

Interesting titbit I was unaware of.

Interviewing Metiria Turei on his show today Willie Jackson touched on charter schools. Turei immediately dumped on them as a "failed experiment internationally."  Jackson responded to the effect, so, if you get in are you going to approve my application?

Yes indeed. The Manukau Urban Maori Authority has an application lodged to run a charter school, document dated May 2014.
