“One per cent of children known to Child, Youth and Family – around 5,000 children – go on to cost New Zealand $550,000 each by their early 30s in corrections and welfare services.
Half a million children are known to CYF?
Over what period I wonder.
According to an MSD research paper one in five born in 1993 became known to CYF over their childhood to the age of 17.

Thats 21 years. OK that just goes to show the growth in govt. interference in our families and the rise and rise of the continuing do good clan that infest govt Departments including Parliament.
To much interference in peoples lives, rights and freedoms.
