All benefit numbers are down over the year to March 2012. The DPB had the smallest decrease of 72 or 0.1 percent. But at least the trend is positive.
Compared to five years ago there are increased percentages of males, Maori and Pacific, 18-24 year-olds and 40-54 year olds making up the total. And a smaller percentage of beneficiaries have worked during the previous year.
