...look like they need a caption.
I want to do a rather grand Te Horo Turneresque landscape with cows. But son and I got a bit carried away with the close-ups. Is there a nicer, more peaceful way to spend time on a balmy summer's day than quietly sitting amongst the cow paddies and flies, inviting and allowing close inspection on both sides?

Don't forget the Turneresque touch of red in the painting, or was that Constable?
Ooooops. Yes, of course. Constable it is. The Haywain and all that. Where did I get Turner from? Blood red skies over Thames. Actually went to a Turner exhibition once but can't even remember where it was. Yet I saw some Constables at Te Papa some time over the past three or four years.
The unique Constable clouds cannot be missing in your future artistic endeavours.
Those cattle remind me so much of Bubba, our steer who became an inside cow a few months back. Gone but not forgotten.
Nice cows, Lindsay, but couldn't you have found some jerseys? Much more photogenic.
No value judgements on cows please. All cows are equal.
