Then I might put a sentimental dollar on the Matamata trained roughie Red Ruler whose name I wrote in my blackbook a couple of years ago but has unsuccessfully soaked up too many of my 'investment' dollars since.

I stuffed up Lindsay. Took 4 in trifectas including the winner and second and forgot about quinellas. Bugger.
I won won the company sweep, was presented with a grubby plastic bag of one and two dollar coins (and a little bit in the way of copper and silver coins) and was told in no uncertain terms that the shout was on me. Off to New World to buy Swiss rolls lammingtons etc. Hardly worth winning at all.
