Why I won't vote National. Colin James writes;
Key is not Brash. He has implicitly bought into big-government conservatism - as John Howard has in Australia - so is seen as no great threat to social services.

Of course you won't vote National. You're a die-in-the-ditch ACT supporter, nay a former candidate. Even with Don Brash leading Natioanl you supported ACT.
It's churlish for you to even suggest your vote was up for grabs.
I always supported Don Brash (except when he was forced by advisers to flip-flop). I might have given a candidate vote to National if they'd stuck with him and looked like a government ACT could support.
This is the same Don Brash Colin James pilloried as an extremist and a dead man walking for all of 2006.Yay for consistency
Of course Lindsay won't vote National, anyway. But that Key has "implicitly bought into big-government conservatism" is yet another reason not to vote National, and probably a good enough reason in itself not to vote National, if you didn't already have one.
