Remember this wee baby?
And people say children grow up so fast.
Daisy is on heat. Forgive my naivety but I haven't had the privilege of sharing a house with a cat on heat before. And this cat rivals Cactus Kate in the over-abundance of testosterone stakes.
Unfortunately the kids have realised they can get her going simply by simulating her "I'm ready, boy am I ready " mewls. The first few times we watched her wiggling her arse and lifting her back legs at anything that moves it was hilarious. But I am so over it.
We all need to get some sleep at night - her included.
Anyone for a kitten?

Lindsay - this year we finally stopped breeding Maine Coons after twelve years of it. We got used to having queens calling but to be honest I don't miss it. Sometimes they sound real desperate - almost in pain.
Some breeders actually keep a vasectomised tom whose duty is to satisfy the calling queen's urge to breed. Sometimes cats lose fertility if they do not breed. Other's have a female who has had her tubes tied to likewise satisfy the urges of the stud males.

We have a vasectomised tom. That is just adding to the whole, humping- horror picture show. Are cats into S&M?
Goodness. I am a little more selective than the cat Mrs Mitchell.
The issue with that cat is its breed. Obviously the cat equivalent of a Filipina in Wan Chai going after the wallet of a Charisma man.
A nice caged trip to the vet is the only answer.
You must be careful of what you type or Winston will accusse you of writing kitty porn.
Maine Coons!
I'm not a cat person by any means but they are impressive!
hahahaha, I hear you! Our cat has been sterilized, but at a fairly late stage. Unfortunately she still goes into heat and out of the window to satisfy her urges. Not a pretty smell when she comes home! And it does feel a bit immoral to pet her at those times...she is just enjoying it WAY too much :-D
