Dominated by libertarians
ACT is now dominated by libertarians, according to a disgruntled board member who has just resigned. Is it?

If ACT wasn't Libertarian then what would be the point of it's existence...? The policys need grounding in a consistant and principled philosophy....otherwise you just have....National! :-0
Libertarian would be nice. Libertarianz would not. But if he thought the party was libertarian and he had trouble with that why run for the board? It's like someone joining the Catholic Church and then complaining about it's position on abortion, etc.
The fight between ACT being a Libertarian or far right wing party was best seen when Rodney and Prebble were fighting for leadership.
When Rodney won that was basically ACT turning into a Libertarian party. I've always seen it as a shame the media outside the Party hasn't yet grasped that...

HUH?
Libertarianz will welcome any disgruntled ACT members! :-)
If ACT was libertarian, we would know exactly how many votes we would have gotten: 1,000.
And mikee, thanks for making conservative members feel welcome in ACT.

ACT will welcome any Libz members who aren't raving fundies, cultists or alcoholics....which leaves...? ;-)
There is a difference between libertarian and classic liberalism.
