I see Bob Jones is now writing a weekly column for the
NZ Herald and Rodney Hide's
Herald on Sunday offering was superb.
And I am confused because I thought Deborah Coddington had finished writing for the same
paper but maybe she is doing an occasional column.

ReplyDeleteTodays Truth is a very different tabloid from the one I grew up reading back in the mist of my youth. My friends and I made the front page back in the 70's after being nvolved in a running gun battle along the Hutt Road.
I think Rodney is far more interesting now than he ever was as a politican. Good reading.
Of course I didnt sign my previous effort cause i was in to much of a hurry. Cant blame the booze, havent had a drink in six months. Just decided to give it away. But I still make dynamite spirits much to the delight of my friends.

ReplyDeleteInteresting that you stopped (drinking) just like that. I tried to give up wine but it just made me grumpy. What have you replaced it with?
Its a new me Lindsay. I replaced the booze with baking bread, cakes and everything sweet. Got a giant slab of custard square in the fridge chilling as I write.
ReplyDeleteI cut out the booze to help me loose some weight and rediscovered butter, the rest as they say is history.
if there was a downside to not drinking it was I lost interest in sitting at my keyboard tapping away lost in my own little world. While this is my first post on your site for many months, I always read your comments and enjoyed the feedback.
