Well-cast

The Prime Minister is to play a part in a stage production of Bad Jelly the Witch. She is playing the voice of God.

Helen isn't the only one who, in place of a deity, believes the rest of us ought to worship them. Personally I'm an atheist and neither want nor give worship. I supposed she wanted the God role assuming it as some sort of type casting. But God supposedly has supreme power and Acton warned us that power corrupts. (Another reason to be an atheist.) But I would have thoght she was more appropriate for the witch role -- think how much they'd save on make up.

I take comfort from the fact that on his way out Rob Muldoon was the Narrator in the "Rocky horror Picture Show".

Perhaps not quite as grandious as the "voice of GOD" but a sign of the end nevertheless

No doubt the program will credit her as

    "and appearing as herself..."

  4. Anonymous... a very weak reason for atheism.

Sure power corrupts, (whether it can corrupt an always existing God is another matter) but if you take power away from God it does not just disappear. You get it.

scotty: the power I have is over my own life and my own property. Power over others is slavery. There is a huge difference between the two. Central planners are not necessary period. Spontanious order is sufficient to explain markets and nature.
