Then when it was over we bussed, trained, ferried, and drove back home to Christchurch again.

That's a 'whole lot of love'.

They were outstanding from what I can remember.

No dancing on the seats though... :-)

Brendan McNeillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02741263914308842497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19962237.post-701830824390779782014-06-20T23:26:10.625+12:002014-06-20T23:26:10.625+12:00Many Thanks Brendan, I loved the guitar work from ...Many Thanks Brendan, I loved the guitar work from Lawrence. Just made it happen.

Jeepers. Not quite the same genre but I saw Bo Diddley at the Wgtn Town Hall about 1975-6. Fantastic concert. I remember because we stood on the seats and danced. Sacrilege.

Lindsay Mitchellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04437693272797130833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19962237.post-51269873184887125082014-06-20T22:57:44.895+12:002014-06-20T22:57:44.895+12:00I'm a big fan of BB and Sam does him well. He was in his 80's I think.

He kind of talked his way through the evening, threw guitar picks and gold bracelets to the fans, sang a few songs, was supported by a great backing band, and totally enjoyed himself.

We enjoyed the evening as well. He was a great blues man, now living out his last days on the road.

The thrill has gone, but the respect remains.

Go well BB, and great work Sam.
Brendan McNeillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02741263914308842497noreply@blogger.com
