In New Zealand the government dictates the number of houses to be built, the type of houses and when and where they are to be sold. Developers who dare to build too many houses are ordered to destroy the superfluous ones. If they do not do so they can be gaoled. It is hard to conceive this form of state created lunacy but I warrant it is true.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19962237.post-70915816449781624152015-03-25T07:09:50.837+13:002015-03-25T07:09:50.837+13:00I followed that link to Hornberger, and hence onto...I followed that link to Hornberger, and hence onto his writings about JFK. I have to admit that I have always assumed the ”LBJ did it” lot were conspiracy theorists. The stuff I ended up reading was indeed alarming. (Why haven't I come across it before?). But he writes in a breathless “Discovery Channel” style repeating the same paragraphs over and over as if like the DC, trying to fit a 5 minute story into a 30 minute slot. And there are such obvious problems with his reconstruction that I am inclined not to take it out of the conspiracy theory bin quite yet. davidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00312282243883488495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19962237.post-21082559072830278462015-03-23T06:24:40.146+13:002015-03-23T06:24:40.146+13:00Tranquil, You don't need to go as far as Madag...Tranquil, You don't need to go as far as Madagascar. The government there decrees the period that vanilla will be harvested - I kid you not.

No ability for the farmer to decide when his crop is at its prime. It's "harvest now" - end of story.
tranquilnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19962237.post-57865168874756755242015-03-20T14:58:00.096+13:002015-03-20T14:58:00.096+13:00Penn & Teller did a great piece on their show ...Penn & Teller did a great piece on their show Bullshit about fast food debunking the myth (?!!) it was unhealthy.
