Don't rush him

Deborah Coddington will be expecting a reaction to her Herald on Sunday column, Is the party over for Rodney Hide?, so I'll not disappoint. Here it is. Don't rush him.

While I have some sympathy for Debs view I can also see that Rodney is doing exactly what he should be at this time....and a lot more besides.Hes cementing himself as Mr Epsom which is ACT's lifeline come next election.Hes also raising his personal profile as a Kiwi not afraid to have a go and make mistakes....a personality trait that Kiwis love and respect.

As most Kiwis care not a jot about politics at this time outside of the smacking bill it is smart of Rodney to keep his powder dry at this time and start mixing it up a bit into next year...

If ACT was to adopt the suggestion from the CIS about allowing opting out of State services and not taxing the first 10-15 thousand of income I think they would make more than a few people sit up and take notice....but not yet.

Then theres this item that may also bolster Rodney with MR and Mrs NZ at just the right time too...

"The ODT has news that filming of Dave Henderson's four-year battle against the IRD is under way, with expectations of a late-2007/early-2008 release date."

    Publisized just right who knows...?

It is hard to take anything Coddington takes seriously. One conversation later and she'll change her mind. She as consistent as Mitt Romney, as perceptive as George Bush and usually a bore.

  4. Waste of time to respond to Deborah. It's just another column to tell the left "I'm one of yours now, please love me."

She would love a response for that reason, so just ignore her.

  5. Deborah Coddington's two main achievements in the 3 years of service to the country were:

    a) spending 3 (?) months on leave in the UK on a writing award.

    b) chasing men to the point of distraction and then successfully obtaining a wealthy husband.

One does think being critical of another MP for their extra curricular activity is a little pot, kettle, black?

    c) victim of bullying by Muriel Newman
