Quote of the Day
"Many commentators have accused me of not being a 'natural politician'. If what it takes to be a natural politician is to evade the question, give misleading answers and act deceitfully, then count me out." Don Brash
But that's one side of the coin. Thinking on your feet, communicating so the average NZer is engaged in the conversation and being a political opportunist -within the standards set - are areas where Don doesn't even get to warm the bench.
It may be what NZ needs, but will enough people vote for it, especially if they are currently a state dependent (most voters now are)
Honest Don is a myth. His obsufcation over his dealings with the Exclusive Brethrens is tantamount to a lie. He said as much himself when he apologised for "misleading the public".
Honest Don?
ReplyDeleteNo wonder he's about to be rolled.
Not really getting what it takes to have political longevity is he?
I admire those qualities in Don.
