Grim? - why on earth are thos... which are very grim

Grim? - why on earth are those statistics grim?

median incomes of most suburbs were bunched tightly around the regional average

That is literally a description of Communist Eastern Europe and the USSR. East Germany, Poland, Russia under the Soviets. And this was in 1986 - so the Richardson reforms had not yet taken hold.

median incomes of the city's 300-odd suburban census units spread widely across the income scale

It's called freedom, and capitalism!! In the truest words the Greens have ever said: the Rich Deserve More.

Income inequality ... fell from 2004 to 2007 as a result of the WFF package

WFF which Key called communism by stealth. Everyone seems to think that was hyperbole - even Key himself. But it's not hyperbole: it is brutally accurate.

such as raising the minimum wage to two-thirds of the average wage

And again this isn't communism-by-stealth: this is open communism. 2/3rds of the mean wage in NZ is pretty much the median wage: so this policy, literally is to pay everyone the median wage.

Not communism-by-stealth.

Not socialism.

Not social democracy, or "third way", or "fair society", or whatever cute buzzwords are going around.

This is "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need"

Marxist communism, pure and simple.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
