Maniototo farmers challenge Ardern to visit them on water tax
A group of Central Otago farmers are challenging Jacinda Ardern to visit their farms to discuss Labour's water tax plans.
The group of women, known as Water Maniototo, say they cannot afford a royalty on irrigated water, planned at one to two cents per thousand litres of water, and it could drive some off their land.

One of the fundamental tenants of Socialism is to create Class Warfare

This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Everyone is trying to live at the expense of everyone else. In the terminal phase, the failure of the system is disguised under a mountain of lies, hollow promises, and debts.
When the stream of other people's money runs out, the system collapses.

The latest newshup poll, National in front, labour taking a hit. The right are reacting to the threat by labour that they will to tax them out of their hard earned wealth and then hand that wealth over to the entitled generation unearned, who think they are owed a living.
Just goes to show how important Don Brash's "fiscal council" idea is: that taxation decisions (like monetary policy) must be removed from elected politicians.
ACT had a good policy a few elections ago:
- terminate national super immediately
- terminate corporate taxation immediately
- privatise all schools
- end government funding for tertiary education and healthcare
but this time around, they're promising to shovel more money to teachers in government schools,
keeping NZ super without means testing, and raising the super age... in 2032.
ACT's corporate tax remains confiscatory at 25% - higher than Australia's will be (killing the economy), the UK, the US after TRUMP, and even bigger than the bureaucratic nightmare of the EU!
