The archetypal gang family

The fraud is less interesting than the profile of this couple. Gang family, 12 children, on-again off-again relationship, Maori, between them living on  benefits for 53 years, drug and alcohol abuse. And are you willing to bet against some of these 12 children already having their own beneficiary broods? This scourge isn't going away any time soon.

The report writers of academia in Grey Lynn and Karori are far too isolated from this wonderful diversity.
We need state housing in these areas so that their original 400 page solutions for 'inequality' result from more personal experience.

I note there is no mention of the money being paid back. Presumably they are still eligible to continue receiving a benefit/s?

Sheesh... **12** children! On benefits for 53 years between them.

Oh, how "awful" and "tough" it must be on a benefit when families like this decide to expand themselves.

This family would be a PERFECT family to apply the welfare reforms to.

Flat tax is the solution. That way they would both see incentive to work instead of feeling more secure on a benefit.

Doesn't matter how "flat" the tax is if you still have minimum wages, WFF, benefits, housing corp, accommodation, health, education and especially the Codger-Dole (super) then you still won't work

But yes: a real flat tax; no GST, no "income" tax, just a flat figure per person --- say $10,000 for every man woman and child --- will give real incentives to every bludger to work!
