I thought he said he had bigger fish to fry?

What a lot of BS this is. Key says he hasn't got time for trivial stuff like the anti-smacking law but has the time to ponce about currying favour with the feminists.

What Key means is for trivial stuff like the democratic process. The issue should be how the electoral system can be changed so that unpopular moral legislation cannot be forced on the majority by a militant minority. Since New Zealand has no upper house the electorate should have a right of veto.

I would like to see a private member’s bill banning prostitution – specifically political prostitution. Key is prepared to pander to feminist, homosexuals or and so called victim group but ignore a million or so good parents.

Ah, but at least she'll always be the right colour, red and green both being appropriate.

How astute of you Sus. While men commit the lion's share of crime (of all types) women are doing their own fair share of social damage with their predominantly collectivist, socialist and environmentalist leanings.

Lindsay, by "environmentalist leanings" I assume you mean stupid and ill informed environmentalist leanings. I am sure most of us are all for protecting the environment. It is a matter of common snece and balance.

Chuck, I intended the practice or ideology of 'environmentalism' informed by the prior two institutions, socialism and collectivism. That is, the idea that collective ownership and state intervention are the solutions to environmental problems.

Sigh....another authoritarian suckhole who wants individual rights violated by the tryanny of the vote.

Chuck....people have the right to sell their bodies for sex and others have the right to buy them if consentually offered. This is a vice, not a crime because there is no unconsenting victim whos rights are violated.

Just because some dusty old book written by some long dead desert primatives makes the claim that protitution is morally wrong matters not a jot....same book also said killing disobdient children was fine as is killing someone for picking up sticks on the sabbath,Murdering Women and children captured in one of the many just wars of conquest was fine too...after raping them.As Richard Dawkins pointed out...people hold the Bible to a higher, natural standard of morality than that expoused by "God"...and find it majorly lacking.

If you don't like prostitution then tough....other people apparently do so get over it.To paraphrase Jefferson...."it neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg" (State involement excluded.)

James, get a grip on yourself. It would appear you do not understand what the term political prostitution means. I suggest you find out and them comment.

Chuck.....are you denying that you wish to ban prostitution?

James, you are getting a bit off topic here. However, my view about the prostitution reform legislation is similar to my view on the anti-parental authority legislation. That is if ain’t broke don’t fix it. As far as I know prostitution was never against the law in New Zealand.

Using you logic you are such a fan of prostitution you are even a fan of political prostitutes like Key, Peters and Dunne.
